Good service. Nice welcoming receptionist. Adequate portions and always warm. Great late night spot.
Excellent! First time trying Senegalese food and it was amazing! The portions are huge, and the food is very flavorful. It was very busy and people were coming in non stop to pic up orders, and there was a line to order when we walked in. The tables were all occupied and we were worried that we wouldn't be able t to eat in. Luckily one table opened up and we grabbed it while the one of us stayed in line to finish ordering. The food came out quick and the service staff were delightful even though they were extremely busy. I can't wait to take more of my friends and family to go and try this gem.
I've been here several times and always late night I'm a big lamb fan so this is a definitely great spot for me. They have house made drinks like ginger juice and a few others. They have a couscous and sour cream dessert. The menu as in most African restaurants doesn't always translate correctly. Ex: Stuffed lamb is roasted shanks. It's a big plate served with a fermented then dried then cooked lime a rice yucca. Last night I had a grilled lamb chunks plate with a salad. Everything fresh and the staff are friendly. This is a non judgmental restaurant and it's very busy. The ambiance is very casual. I take my food to go as parking is this area is horrible.
The attieke here is the best I've ever tasted in New York City, I've lived here for 21 years and I haven't had any other attieke that can top this that's located in New York
My wife loves this place she orders from there all time. It has excellent service, and polite staff. The food is always fresh. If you order for pickup the food is nice and hot and ready to go whenever you get there. We have been going there for over 10 or more years. I will say only let week my wife had a complaint. The food was still good, but I preferred the taste from the other cook that's been there for awhile. Will I continue eating there. Definitely. I only order the Grill fish and rice and salad. And the lamb. Oh my god....you must try it. MADAMVP
